About:

The Oregon Energy Strategy will outline potential pathways to shape an equitable clean energy transition that meets the diverse needs of Oregonians that considers a range of factors, including impacts to the environment, public health, affordability, the economy, and jobs. The Oregon Legislature directed the Oregon Department of Energy to develop the strategy, which will be presented by November 2025.

We are excited to introduce the project team and welcome the recently selected technical consultants, the Clean Energy Transition Institute. We will also share an update on next steps since our initial webinar that was hosted in November 2023 and discuss the following:

  • Why Oregon needs an energy strategy and how it will inform our energy future

  • How will we develop an energy strategy – hear about our approach to the analysis and modeling

  • Ways to get involved – a preview of engagement opportunities, including listening sessions, working groups, and an advisory group.

  • What’s next – how feedback and community input will inform the Oregon Energy Strategy

More information, including how to join the meeting virtually, will be available on the Oregon Energy Strategy webpage prior to the meeting. We also look forward to answering questions during the webinar.
