Home Energy Performance Score Stakeholder Panel to hold second meeting on November 24

SALEM — The Home Energy Performance Score Stakeholder Panel will meet for the second time on Monday, November 24 in Portland. The public meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the Portland State Office Building, 800 NE Oregon St.

The panel was created after recent Oregon Department of Energy rulemaking on home energy performance scores as directed by House Bill 2801, passed in 2013. Several participants in the department’s rulemaking effort expressed interest in working collaboratively toward greater market standardization.

At Monday’s meeting, the panel will review a draft charter, discuss three “grandfathered” energy performance score systems, and talk about action steps. Ultimately, the stakeholder panel will recommend to the department’s director which home energy performance score systems to approve for use in Oregon beyond 2015.
