SALEM — A hearing on the proposed Saddle Butte Wind Park in north central Oregon will be the focus of discussion at the next Energy Facility Siting Council meeting on January 21. The meeting is open to the public and begins at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Discovery Center, 5000 Discovery Dr., in The Dalles. If the Council does not wrap up its agenda on Thursday, the meeting will continue in the same location on January 22. The main items on the Council’s agenda include:

  • Saddle Butte Wind Park (Gilliam and Morrow counties): The Council will conduct a hearing related to the project’s contested case. Parties to the contested case may comment during the hearing.
  • Montague Wind Power Facility (Gilliam County): At its December meeting, the Council denied a request for a contested case related to this facility. A request for reconsideration was filed and will be considered by the Council.
