Energy Facility Siting Council To Meet Oct. 19 in Portland

SALEM — The Energy Facility Siting Council’s site certificate amendment process rulemaking will be the focus of discussion at its next meeting on October 19 in Portland. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Oxford Suites in Jantzen Beach, 12226 N. Jantzen Dr.

The main items on the Council’s agenda include:

  • Site Certificate Amendment Process Rulemaking: After considering all the comments received on the record for this rulemaking, the Council will deliberate and decide whether to approve final rule language and/or whether to provide further direction to staff. The Council’s options are explained on page 21 of the staff report.
  • The Climate Trust Annual Update: The Council will receive an annual presentation from The Climate Trust.

The next EFSC meeting is tentatively scheduled for December 14-15 at a site to be determined.
