Oregon Global Warming Commission to Meet Virtually May 13

SALEM — The Oregon Global Warming Commission will meet Wednesday, May 13, 2020. The public meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. online.

At this meeting, the Governor’s Office will provide an overview of the recent Executive Order 20-04 directing state agencies to take actions to reduce and regulate emissions from greenhouse gases. The Oregon Department of Energy will also discuss its implementation of 2017 and 2020 climate change Executive Orders. Finally, the Commission will discuss the Social Cost of Carbon, a metric to help account for the costs of greenhouse gas emissions in policies and project planning.

No resolutions are expected to be introduced or voted on at this meeting.
