Oregon Global Warming Commission to Meet Virtually June 24

SALEM — The Oregon Global Warming Commission will meet Wednesday, June 24, 2020. The public meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. online.
At the meeting, the Commission will briefly discuss its future vision and operating procedures. The meeting will focus on discussion of Agency Implementation Plans related to Executive Order 20-04, particularly relating to the transportation and energy sectors. The Commission will discuss plans submitted by Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon Department of Energy, Oregon Public Utility Commission, Oregon Department of Transportation, Department of Land Conservation and Development, and the Statewide Transportation Strategy Implementation Group. This discussion will continue the Commission’s work to identify recommendations for inclusion in the 2020 Biennial Report to the Legislature.
The Commission is expected to vote on actions related to the Commission’s vision and operating procedures at the meeting.

The Oregon Global Warming Commission is a 25-member advisory group created by the 2007 Legislature through House Bill 3543.
