Energy Facility Siting Council to Meet Remotely September 24

The next regularly scheduled meeting of Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council will be held virtually Friday, September 24, 2021. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday and is expected to conclude around 11:15 that morning.

The main items on the Council’s agenda are:

Boardman Solar Energy Facility, Proposed Order on Request for Amendment 1 of the Site Certificate – Chase McVeigh-Walker, Senior Siting Analyst. Council will review the Proposed Order on Request for Amendment 1 (RFA1) of the Boardman Solar Energy Facility Site Certificate and will either adopt, modify, or reject the Proposed Order as the Final Order. RFA1 seeks Council approval for a three year extension to both the construction commencement and completion deadlines.

Retirement and Financial Assurance Standard Overview – Sarah Esterson, ODOE Senior Policy Advisor, will provide part 2 of the Retirement and Financial Assurance Standard overview.

There will also be an opportunity for public comment.
