Oregon Global Warming Commission to Meet Virtually on December 16

SALEM – The Oregon Global Warming Commission will meet Friday, December 16, 2022. The public meeting will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. online.
At this meeting, the Commission will:
Discuss the TIGHGER action scenarios, evaluation criteria scoring results, and how they should inform the Roadmap to 2035 recommendations.
Continue discussion of other recommendations for the Roadmap. The Commission will consider follow-up on the draft recommendations discussed at the November 2022 meeting, including, but not limited to, Recommendation 2 regarding updating the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.

As always, general public comments may be submitted through the Commission's contact form online or by email. Comments related to the TIGHGER modeling and Roadmap to 2035 can also be submitted through the online portal. The Commission extended the deadline for comments on the draft recommendations framework for the Roadmap to 2035 to Friday, December 2, 2022. Additionally, the public is encouraged to review and provide comments on the evaluation scoring results and related recommendations which will be posted on December 5, 2022. These comments can also be submitted through the online portal.
Members of the public will also have an opportunity to sign up during the meeting to make oral comments.

NOTE: Posting of the evaluation scoring results and related recommendations is delayed. But, the evaluation scoring results and related recommendations will still be presented at the December meeting and there will be an opportunity for written comments after the meeting. A revised schedule of next steps reflecting the change has also been posted under the December meeting materials on the OGWC meeting webpage.
