Drive Electric Earth Day EVents
The organizations that coordinate National Drive Electric Week have joined forces this year to bring us Drive Electric Earth Day – a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles in celebration of Earth Day.
Several organizations around Oregon are taking part by hosting Ride and Drives and other informational events. Find a Drive Electric Earth Day EVent near you to learn more about the benefits of electric vehicle ownership – for you and the planet!
Why EVs?
Transportation is responsible for just over 30 percent of Oregon’s energy consumption and over 35 percent of our greenhouse gas emissions. All-electric vehicles produce zero tailpipe emissions, which means they produce far fewer greenhouse gases and other harmful emissions than traditional gas-powered cars. They are also much less costly to maintain than traditional vehicles – making them easier on the environment and your wallet. From luxury to economy, hatchbacks to SUVs, there’s a plug-in electric vehicle for EVeryone – and with current state and federal incentives, they’re more affordable than ever!
