Oregon Global Warming Commission to Meet Virtually on July 13

SALEM –The Oregon Global Warming Commission will meet Wednesday, July 13, 2022. The public meeting will be held from 1 to 4:00 p.m. online.

 At this meeting, the Commission will hear updates on:

  • The Roadmap to 2035 to help the State develop a long-range agenda for meeting Oregon’s emission reduction goals. The Roadmap briefing will include a presentation on modeled findings and will discuss the process and decisions the Commission will need to make to finalize the Roadmap.

  • The Natural and Working Lands Proposal to provide input on the structure, criteria for selection and draft work plan for the N&WL Advisory Committee.

The agenda and meeting information, including how to listen in, is available on the Commission’s website. Additional materials will be available prior to the meeting.

General public comments may be submitted through the Commission's contact form online or by email. Comments related to the Roadmap may be submitted through the online portal.

Members of the public will also have an opportunity to sign up at the beginning of the meeting to make oral comments.

The Oregon Global Warming Commission is a 25-member advisory group created by the 2007 Legislature through House Bill 3543. Members are appointed and directed to develop long-term policy recommendations to prepare for, adapt to, and combat climate change.
