Oregon Climate Action Commission to Meet Virtually on January 26

SALEM – The Oregon Climate Action Commission, formerly known as the Oregon Global Warming Commission, will meet Friday, January 26, 2024. The public meeting will be held online from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At this meeting, the Commission will consider the Natural and Working Lands Fund proposal, which was previewed at the December 11, 2023 meeting. The Commission is accepting public comments on the proposal until January 17, 2024 online or by email.
The Commission will also hear an update from and consider the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s proposed Climate Pollution Reduction Grant draft Priority Climate Action Plan. Erica Fleishman, director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute, will provide an overview of the Fifth National Climate Assessment, and Christy Splitt, ODOE’s Government Relations Coordinator, will provide an overview of what to expect during the 2024 Oregon Legislative Session.

As always, public comments may be submitted through the Commission's contact form online or by email. Members of the public will also have an opportunity to sign up during the meeting to make oral comments.
