Oregon Climate Action Commission to Meet Virtually on March 19

SALEM – The Oregon Climate Action Commission will meet on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The virtual public meeting will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. online.
At this meeting, the Commission will hear updates on Oregon’s 2024 legislative session and the state’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant proposal. The Oregon Department of Energy will provide an informational update on the energy facility siting process from the Oregon Department of Energy. The Commission will also hear an update on the status of offshore wind in Oregon. For this informational item, the Oregon Department of Land Conservation & Development will provide an overview of the Oregon Coastal Management Program and describe the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s leasing process for offshore wind development off the Oregon Coast. The Oregon Department of Energy will describe offshore wind planning processes within the regional power sector.
