ODOE is excited to launch a new podcast series: Getting Grounded. This series focuses on energy basics and breaks down topics into mini episodes with new podcast host, Katelyn Jackson

On the first episode of the series, we meet ODOE’s Stephanie Kruse, a facilities engineer who manages an online dashboard tracking the electricity that powers Oregon. The dashboard also shows how much each energy resource — like hydro, coal, natural gas, wind — went into powering Oregon.

Clicking through the dashboard, Oregonians can see how the mix has seen increasing amounts of renewable electricity.

In the episode, Kruse breaks down what renewable electricity and clean energy are.
