Oregon Climate Action Commission to Meet Virtually on July 11, 2025

The Oregon Climate Action Commission will meet on July 11, 2025. The public meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. online.

The Commission is pleased to introduce a newly appointed member, Carter MacNichol, co-founder of Oregon Business for Climate, who will fill an At Large voting seat.

At this meeting the Commission will receive overviews and have an initial discussion of three climate studies newly underway:

  1. A Land-Based Net Carbon Inventory for the state’s natural and working lands,

  2. An update to the Transformational Integrated Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction (TIGHGER 2.0) project, and

  3. A Natural Climate Solutions Workforce Development and Training Programs Needs Study for the natural and working lands sectors.

The Commission will also learn of climate-related bills that were passed and enacted during the 2025 Oregon Legislative session and discuss public input and next steps on our Natural and Working Lands investments.

An agenda and meeting information, including how to listen in, is available on the Commission’s website

As always, public comments may be submitted through the Commission's contact form online or by email. Input received by noon on Monday, July 7, 2025, will be shared with Commissioners in advance of the meeting. Members of the public will also have an opportunity to sign up during the meeting to make oral comments.
