Energy Facility Siting Council to Meet March 21-22, 2024
SALEM — The next regularly scheduled meeting of Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 21-22, 2024. Attendance will be open to the public both in person and virtually using the online Webex platform. Trojan Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Security Plan Decision (Action Item) – Christopher Clark, Senior Siting Analyst. Council will consider information presented on Revision 9 to the Security Plan for the Trojan Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) presented at the February 23, 2024, Council meeting, and will consider whether the revised plan contains adequate provisions to ensure the protection and public health and safety pursuant to ORS 469.430 and OAR chapter 345, division 070.
Boardman Solar Termination of Site Certificate (Action Item) – Todd Cornett, Assistant Director for Siting and Council Secretary. The project is an approved but not yet constructed 75 megawatt (MW) solar PV facility located within a site boundary of 798 acres. Construction was not started as February 23, 2024, as required by condition GEN-GS-01, therefore the site certificate has expired.
