SALEM – The Small-Scale Energy Loan Program Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, June 28 at the Oregon Department of Energy, 550 Capitol St., NE, in Salem. The public meeting begins at 10 a.m. The agenda will focus on two items:

  • Oregon Department of Energy staff will provide an update on work being conducted in response to a request from SELPAC members to outline a vision for the direction of Small Scale Local Energy Program. An eventual report will build on lessons learned from SELP’s 39-year history, coupled with current trends in energy and finance.
  • A proposed legislative concept that removes and clarifies statutory language related to outdated and dormant energy programs. The concept also improves the efficiency and risk profile of SELP to focus on supporting public projects that provide public benefit, and expanding the types of eligible projects.

A complete agenda for the June 28 meeting, including information on how to attend the meeting remotely, can be found on the ODOE website at www.oregon.gov/energy/Get-Involved/Pages/SELPAC.aspx.
