Survey on Energy Sector Workforce Education and Training
The Oregon Department of Energy recently completed the Oregon Energy Strategy which identified pathways, policies, and recommended actions Oregon can take to meet the state’s clean energy policy objectives while addressing energy affordability and reliability. As a follow up, ODOE is conducting a workforce needs assessment to better understand the extent to which Oregon’s current workforce and training opportunities are prepared to meet the strategy’s modeled employment needs.
We are partnering with the University of Oregon’s Institute for Policy Research and Engagement for this study, and IPRE is conducting a survey of organizations involved in education and training of the energy workforce.
The aim of the survey is to:
Identify strengths and gaps in existing training programs
Understand resource and capacity challenges
Inform policy and program recommendations related to energy workforce development
If your organization is involved in educating or training workers in energy sector occupations, we would greatly appreciate you taking the time to participate in this survey. Please share this survey with others who may be interested in participating.
The survey should take only 10-15 minutes to complete and will close at 5 p.m. on April 2.
