How do people in Marion County heat their homes?

Did you know?

The 62-mile South Mist Pipeline Extension, owned by NW Natural, travels through Marion County.

The county is also home to the Energy from Waste Facility, owned and operated by Covanta Marion, Inc. The facility processes about 550 tons of garbage each day, producing about 13 megawatts of electricity each year.

Oregon-grown SeQuential Biofuels’s biodiesel facility is located in Salem, and produces nearly 10 million gallons of biodiesel each year. We highlighted SeQuential’s work in our Biennial Energy Report.
